It seems that even the undead can succumb to the curse of clumsiness resulting in a twisted ankle. Vampires may be considered masters of the night but apparently I am still able to fall over. I wish I could say it was beacuse of a purchase of wonderful new shoes which I had to break in, but no. I simply fell arse over tit.

I haven't been very social of late, a phase which seems to happen to me every winter. I'm used to being very drawn into myself for long periods of time so should any of you feel abandoned by me on a personal level please accept my apologies.

Now the weather is only just beginning to get warmer you may see me around more often. Strange I know, seeing as vampires cannot really feel temperature but apparently like many creatures I am fond of hibernating during the chillier months. Must be a natural instinct.

Despite the misconception that vampires cannot taste after a certain age, I am plodding on with making the first batch of cakes since I've arrived here.
I present to you - milk chocolate, vanilla, white chocolate - and for the vampires around - sweet chilli, curry powder and pepper - cakes.
Believe me, the latter three work!
For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoy the holidays - and for those who do not celebrate it - I hope you enjoy the time off lessons. I certainly will.

Having your mugshot taken is not  as glamorous as criminals make it seem. It is cold, boring and if you try and glam it up a bit they tell you off. Apparently it's got to be a 'true likeness'. To hell with that, if I'm in this picture you'll see the FABULOUS me.
Does anyone know a good dry-cleaners by the way? My dress is terribly creased.

This week has been... well very entertaining for me, but also quite slow. I am sorry for not being around more but the recent activity of those four particular saucy posters makes a gal want to get back into the swing of society, if you know what I mean. I need to tread the grounds, explore the area as I haven't yet taken full advantage. I haven't even SPOKEN to anyone... my I'm becoming a recluse!
A new assignment shall be posted up this week for my students. I have yet to hear from my sponsorees, too. I assume all is well with you?

Note from Professor Elliot: All his classes this week are cancelled, office hours will not be in use and anyone who has him as a sponsor, if you have a query or problem you should email it to him directly. He should be back "in the swing of things" next week.

I never thought I would actually physically yearn for England again but I do. Over a hundred years as a vamp, never thought twice about the country, now I'm watching films on television all set in London and I see how much it's changed. It's so different now. I want to experience it, compare it to my life way back when. I'd most likely hate it, not being familiar with it now but I want the chance to see it for myself. Maybe go over to my old haunts...

I don't like feeling like this.

Let me start off this journal affair by introducing myself.

My name is Georgette Rose Miles. Georgette to most, you cannot call me George - but you can however call me Georgie - I do not mind that. Despite living in the 1800s+ I am not a technophobe, I know what rap is (not that I like it) and my i-pod and mobile phone are the dearest things I hold to me - you can catch me on AIM also at MinorKeysInMusic.

I am a Professor here, teaching Vampire Lore. I am - surprise! - a vampire. You may not ask me my age unless you are staff, it's inpolite. The story of how I got turned will come out eventually but only when you've either asked nicely or earnt the right for me to tell you. Or if I'm feeling particularly nostaglic and you catch me on an off day.

I also love the boyband Take That. Shut up.
